Vanderbilt University in USA will offer renewable need-based financial aid to a limited number of international freshman undergraduate applicants in 2015. International students should be prepared to finance, either privately or through a sponsor, the full cost of their Vanderbilt education.

  •   International freshmen applicants are eligible to apply for all Vanderbilt merit-based scholarships offered at Vanderbilt.
  • To be considered for merit-based scholarships, students must complete the appropriate forms from the Application Packet for Merit-Based Scholarshipsor complete the appropriate applications online.
  • Students should be aware that merit-based scholarships are awarded only to a select few of our most exceptional applicants each year.

How to apply

  • A student requesting consideration for need-based financial aid is required to submit the College Board Financial Aid PROFILE showing their sources of financial support. At the time of submission, the only document they require is the PROFILE.
  • The institution deserves the right to ask for additional documentation to verify information submitted on the PROFILE.
  • Please know that by requesting consideration for need-based aid, admission to Vanderbilt is then “need aware.” Those international students who demonstrate they can afford the cost of attending Vanderbilt will be given preferential treatment in the admission process.
  • International citizens who apply through Regular Decision and request need-based aid will be reviewed as a separate group. Based upon an evaluation of academic qualities, financial need, and availability of resources, an international student may be considered for financial assistance.

Deadline; The priority date to submit the PROFILE application for international students is January 5, 2015
