Worth of Award
The President’s Award is an entrance scholarship valued at $2,500.
Eligibility
- This scholarship is for international students entering their first year of study at the University,
- It is also meant for those completing their previous academic qualification with a minimum country-equivalent grade average of A. (this is using the Algoma U grading scale).
- To qualify, candidates must be studying on a full-time basis (24-30 credits over two consecutive terms of study).
- Registrations in a course load of less than 30 credits, but greater than or equal to 24 credits will be prorated.
- Students must complete all qualifying requirements in the academic year prior to commencing studies in any program of study at Algoma University.
- International students studying in an Ontario secondary school and meeting the OSSD requirements must achieve 80-89.9% on their top 6 grade 12 U/M courses presented for admission.
