The project Prague City of Literature offers residency stays for foreign writers and translators. There are six residencies available for 2023, each lasting two months.

Worth of Award
Prague City of Literature reimburses the resident for a return ticket, provides accommodation for free and a stipend of CZK 15,000 (approx. 600 euro) per month.
Eligibility
- Cultural interest in place
- Basic knowledge of English
- At least one already published literary work (not private editions) or two already broadcast or published radio plays or one already realized or published theatre play or at least one translated work by a Czech author
- Willingness to participate in local literary life (readings by authors, school talks, discussions and activities organized by the organizer of the stay or connected to cultural events in the city)
- Work on a literary work during the stay
- An author who has already received a scholarship once cannot apply again
- The resident undertakes to provide the Municipal Library in Prague with a text inspired by this stay during the residential stay, or no later than 2 months after its end, which MKP will be able to use for the promotion of Prague residential stays through its project. MKP will conclude a license agreement with the resident for the use of this text in electronic and printed form.
