The University of Tasmania offers a Dean of Sciences and Engineering Merit Scholarship for first-year undergraduate students in Australia for the 2022/23 academic session.

Worth of Award
Each scholarship covers 50% of registered tuition fees (including Student Services and Amenities Fees) for the duration of the course. Four scholarships are available for each 2022 intake.
Eligibility
Available to high-achieving offshore and onshore international students. These are students who have an offer of a place in eligible Sciences and Engineering courses when commencing their first year in 2022.
Students must have met the minimum academic requirements as determined by an assessment made by the University on the basis of country-specific grading scales.
Eligible courses include:
- All College of Sciences and Engineering undergraduate or Honours coursework programs (excluding seafaring programs); and
- All College of Sciences and Engineering postgraduate coursework programs.
To maintain this scholarship students are required to achieve a Credit (5.0/7.0) cumulative grade point average (CGPA) at the end of each study period.

Students are assessed automatically upon submission of their International Student Application so there is no need to apply separately.
