The University of Warwick invites applications for the Mathematical and Computational Modelling of High Flow Nasal Oxygen Therapy in the UK for the 2022/23 academic session.
Working with an international team of clinicians and engineers, you will develop mathematical models of high-flow nasal oxygen therapy (HFNOT). You’ll also develop an advanced form of non-invasive respiratory support that is increasingly widely used in the treatment of acute hypoxic respiratory failure (AHRF).
Models will be coded in Matlab and incorporated into the ICSM Cardiopulmonary simulator. A world-leading simulation platform that has been in continuous development for over 25 years.
Worth of Award
The award will cover the tuition fees, plus a stipend of £16,062 per annum for 3.5 years of full-time study.
Eligibility
This is open to suitably qualified applicants from anywhere in the world.
How to Apply
Candidates should submit an expression of interest by sending a CV and supporting statement outlining their skills and interests in this research area to www.warwick.ac.uk/engpgr/dgb/appcv/
Deadline: Applications for the Mathematical and Computational Modelling close September 1st, 2022.
