The Cyprus Institute invites applications for Graduate Scholarships for International Students for the 2023/24 academic session.
The Cyprus Institute (CyI) is a world-class, non-profit research and educational institution with a strong scientific and technological orientation. It is a regional Center of Excellence, addressing issues of regional interest but of global significance, with an emphasis on cross-disciplinary research and international collaborations.
CyI is being developed as an international science and technology organization to strengthen the research community of Cyprus and to help transform its economy to a knowledge-based economy.
Worth of Award
- The scholarships may cover tuition fees and/or living expenses.
- They are awarded at the beginning of the Master’s program or at the beginning of the PhD program for 2 years initially (and/or until advancement to PhD candidacy), and then can be renewed for one or more years subject to excellent performance.
Eligibility
An eligible application is a strong application (i.e., solid personal statement and example of previous/current work) to the Graduate School according to the Scholarship Committee.

Your application should include
- Curriculum Vitae
- Academic Degrees and Official Transcripts
Proof of English language proficiency which include
- IELTS Academic version: at least 6.5 (taken within the past 2 years)
- TOEFL Internet-based Test: at least 79 (taken within the past 2 years)
- GCSE/IGCSE: Grade C or above (preferably with speaking)
It should also include
- Up to 4 additional certificates that you feel are relevant in the Other Certificates section of the application
- A Statement of Intent which should contain 500-1000 words
