Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) awards a new series of generous international scholarships for students enrolling at the University from September 2014 onwards.
The scholarships take the form of tuition fee waivers and are available for outstanding international students with an offer to study on an undergraduate course, taught postgraduate programme or research degree course.

The scholarship includes:

Roscoe International Scholarships: The University will be awarding eight Roscoe International Scholarships, comprising a full tuition fee waiver worth up to £12,000, to exceptional international students accepted onto a one year taught masters programme at the University.
In order to be considered for this Scholarship you must:

  • have an overall English IELTS score of 7.0 (with a minimum score of 6.5 in each component) or recognised equivalent
  • have a good honours degree (at least 2:1 or equivalent)
  • be a self-funded student
  • have a valid offer to study a masters programme at LJMU in September 2014
  • complete the scholarship application form

Twenty Developing Global Citizens Postgraduate Scholarships :Twenty Developing Global Citizens Postgraduate Scholarships, consisting of a one-off £4,000 fee waiver, will be awarded to students accepted on to a taught masters programme or research degree in September 2014.
In order to be considered for this award you must:

  • be a self-funded student from Africa, the ASEAN countries, the People’s Republic of China or Commonwealth country
  • have a valid offer to study a masters degree or research programme at LJMU in September 2014
  • complete the scholarship application form

Applications for this award are welcomed from:

  • new international applicants
  • current LJMU international students hoping to progress onto postgraduate study at the University
  • LJMU international alumni

John Moores International Undergraduate Scholarships: John Moores International Undergraduate Scholarships, consisting of a £6,000 first year tuition fee waiver, will be awarded to ten exceptional new students joining the University in September 2014.
In order to be considered for this award you must:

  • have, or be expected to achieve, grades ABB at A Level or equivalent qualification
  • have an overall English IELTS score of 7.0 (with a minimum score of 6.5 in each component) or recognised equivalent
  • be a self-funded student from Africa, the ASEAN countries, the People’s Republic of China or Commonwealth country
  • have a valid offer to study an undergraduate degree at LJMU in September 2014
  • complete the scholarship application form
  • If you need to increase your IELTS score by 0.5 in order to enrol on your chosen undergraduate degree, masters course or research programme at LJMU and complete the 6 week English for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Studies course at our International Study Centre, you will automatically receive a Bursary worth £700.
  • This Bursary takes the form of a tuition fee waiver, which will be deducted from your tuition fee on enrolment when you progress onto your degree programme at the University.

The Hodgson Law Scholarship: These Scholarships are initiated by the Hodgson Will Trust.The Committee will choose two or more Hodgson Law Scholars each year from applicants from colleges and universities worldwide.
Scholars will attend the Liverpool Law School at the University of Liverpool or the School of Law at Liverpool John Moores University and pursue a postgraduate degree in Law.
