The Music In Africa Foundation (MIAF), in partnership with Goethe-Institutt, invites organisations operating in Southern Africa’s creative and cultural industries to apply for the Sound Connects Fund (SCF) for Cultural Creatives in 2022.

Eligible organizations can apply for one of the following available grants:
Category A (€35 000.00 – €60 000.00)
Project
- length – Up to 8 Months
- budget is between €35 000.00 and €60 000.00.
- implementation and final reporting must take place between June 2022 and end of January 2023.
Category B (€61 000.00 – €100 000.00)
Project
- length – Up to 12 Months
- budget is between €61 000.00 and €100 000.00.
- implementation and final reporting must take place between June 2022 and end of June 2023.
Category C (€101 000.00 – €180 000.00)
Project
- length – Up to 18 Months
- budget is between €101 000.00 and €180 000.00.
- implementation and final reporting must take place between June 2022 and end of December 2023.
Eligibility
- Everyone who is operating in the African music sector is welcome – from musicians to record labels, retailers, educators, entertainment lawyers, collecting societies, etc.
- The creative and cultural industry organizations should be based in Angola, Botswana, eSwatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
- They should also be operating in the performing arts, animation, film, gaming, photography, videography and visual arts sectors.
