The Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) invites applications for the 2014 fellowship. Under the leadership of CDC’s Chief Evaluation Officer, the selected participant will be matched with CDC host programs to carry out program evaluation activities for/with those programs.
Host programs will be selected through a competitive process to ensure participants are being assigned to productive evaluation activities that will both build the knowledge base of the program and enhance the professional development of the participant.
Program Details

  •  Typically, a participant will be assigned to one program for the duration of their appointment, but s/he may also serve on a series of smaller evaluation projects outside their host program to increase their exposure to CDC. The participants will interact primarily with the staff of their host program, but will receive support as a group and individually from PPEO staff.
  • S/he will have the opportunity to develop a customized training and professional development plan in consultation with their host program mentor and PPEO to ensure they fill skill gaps and gain visibility with CDC programs through the duration of their appointment. S/he will also have frequent opportunities to interact with colleagues in their fellowship cohort to promote the exchange of ideas and to further advance their knowledge and skills in evaluation.
