H&M Foundation Global Change Award in Fashion in Sweden 2023 (Win up to €1M)

Applications are currently open for the H&M Foundation Global Change Award in Fashion in Sweden in 2023.

Bright minds that can transform fashion and change the way it is seen, worn, and made are highly sought after. This is because the aim of the Global Change Award is to find, support and scale disruptive ideas. These are ideas that can protect our planet and turn the fashion and textile industry into a planet positive one and promote a planet positive future.

Planet positive means to regenerate, replenish and create conditions for more life. And a planet positive future is a future where the fashion and textile industry operates within the planetary boundaries, contributing to a society where humans and nature not only survive but thrive.

Worth of Award

Five winning teams share a grant of 1,000,000 euros and venture into the year-long GCA Impact Accelerator programme. This programme includes invaluable coaching and support from the H&M Foundation and its partners Accenture, KTH Royal Institute of Technology and The Mills Fabrica.

Eligibility

  • To reach as many great minds as possible, the challenge is open to any individual and groups of up to four people over 18 years of age. They can be from anywhere in the world.
  • It is also open for institutions, organizations and social businesses, as well as for joint ventures, consortiums and other types of partnerships.

It is important to note that the Global Change Award is not open for solely commercial entities. Similarly, to keep the integrity of the competition, the following cannot apply:

  • employees of H&M Group or any entities owned in full or in part by H&M Group, H&M Foundation, Accenture,
  • the Milsl Fabrica and KTH Innovation including hired consultants.
