Erasmus Mundus and the European Union invite applications for the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Programme for International Students in Digital Earth in Austria for the 2023/24 academic year.
The two-year full-time integrated programme’s board is looking for students who demonstrate a high degree of commitment and motivation, a strong interest and background in the GEOSPATIAL field of applications as well as in working in international environments. They should fulfill all required academic qualifications for admission with excellent academic results and can document high-level competencies in the English language.
Worth of Award
- EU scholarships cover the cost of a student’s participation in the programme, travel, and a living allowance.
Eligibility
- Applicants in their final year of a Bachelor’s degree may apply when candidates will have completed the undergraduate degree (bachelor’s or equivalent) prior to July and a copy of the official degree certificate can be sent by July 30 at the latest.
- You are welcome to apply if you are from Europe or an international candidate with a GEOSPATIAL background
- Having Geospatial/computational academic expertise is important when fulfilling your application requirements.
How to Apply
The application procedure for the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Programme for International Students is divided into three steps:
STEP 1 – Application. Interested candidates submit their applications. The submitted files are first screened on a technical basis (eligibility test) by the Coordinator and Selection Committee Members, within two weeks after the application deadline.
STEP 2 – Selection of Candidates. The selection procedure is established according to the minimum requirements set by the European Commission. It guarantees the transparency of the selection process and equitable treatment of individual applications. Information on an appeal procedure will be available to all CDE scholarship applicants.
STEP 3 – Registration for Admission. The CDE Programme Office together with partner universities’ admission offices will facilitate admission as degree-seeking students.

Note that the student selection is made by the EM CDE Selection Committee on the basis of the academic qualifications and merits shown in the application documents.
