Antonio Zampolli Prize for Information and Communications Technologies Innovators in Germany 2022

The Alliance of Digital Humanities Organisations invites applications for the Antonio Zampolli Prize for Information and Communications Technologies Innovators in Germany in 2022.

The Alliance of Digital Humanities Organizations (ADHO) is an umbrella organisation. Its goals are to promote and support digital research and teaching across arts and humanities disciplines. The aim is to draw together humanists engaged in digital and computer-assisted research, teaching, creation, dissemination, and beyond. This is in all areas reflected by its diverse membership.

ADHO supports initiatives for publication, presentation, collaboration, and training. It also recognises and supports excellence in these endeavours and acts as a community-based consultative and advisory force.

Worth of Award

The recipient will receive prize money of approximately 1000 GBP (one thousand GB pounds). Alternatively, it would be a round number of about the same value in the currency in which the prize is to be awarded.

All travel, accommodation and subsistence costs of the award recipient will be paid for by ADHO.

The recipient is expected to give a public lecture, on a topic of his or her choice. This will be at the annual international Digital Humanities conference at which the award is presented.

Be a guest of honour of the SCA and the Local Organisers at the conference at which the award is made and the lecture given.

Eligibility 

The

  • Antonio Zampolli Prize is given to recognise a single outstanding output in the digital humanities. This can come from any scholar or scholars at any stage in their career.
  • output must involve the innovative use of information and communications technologies. It may take the form of published research and/or the development of research-related tools or resources.
  • award will be made on the basis of the output’s importance as a contribution to the digital humanities. This takes into account the significance both of its use of information and communication technologies and of its actual or potential contribution to the advancement of humanities research.
