Several Full Tuition Scholarships at UWE Bristol, UK 2014-2015

The University of the West of England, UWE, Bristol, offers more than £600,000 worth of scholarships for international students each year. They include the Chancellor’s Scholarship Academic Merit Scholarship, Alumni Scholarship, Excellence in Sport Scholarship, Global Student Scholarship, Justice Malek Ahmad Scholarship, Millennium Development Scholarship, Professor Arthur Li Development Scholarships. The scholarships generally close in May, except the Academic Merit Scholarship which closes in January. Details of the 2014-2015 UWE Scholarships can be found below:
Academic Merit Scholarship:
UWE offers scholarships of up to £1,500 to overseas students who have demonstrated academic merit. To be eligible, students must have already submitted an application and received an unconditional offer from UWE onto a new programme. Scholarship applications can be made online. Application closes on January 9, 2014. Other scholarships below close in May.
Alumni Scholarship
This is a tuition fee discount available for all international students who have previously graduated from a UWE degree programme (this must be a full undergraduate or postgraduate qualification).
Chancellor’s Scholarship
A full tuition fee scholarship will be awarded to one outstanding student to study a one year postgraduate programme at UWE. Recipients of this scholarship will be required to undertake an internship working within the International Development Office and other departments and will also be required to undertake ambassadorial activity for the University throughout the duration of the course.
Excellence in Sport Scholarship
One full tuition fee scholarship (including the cost of accommodation up to £3,000) will be awarded to a student who is ranked in the World Top 10 or equivalent in a sport recognised by the International Olympic Committee which is also available within the British University and Colleges sporting framework (BUCS). Applicants will be invited to apply.
Global Student Scholarship
One full tuition fee scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding student to study a one year Masters programme at UWE. The recipient of this scholarship will be required to undertake an internship working within Global Student Support. The recipient will also be required to undertake ambassadorial activity for the University throughout the duration of the course.
Justice Malek Ahmad Scholarship
One full tuition fee scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding student to study a one year Masters programme. The scholarship also covers accommodation costs of up to £3,000.
This scholarship is awarded in the memory of Justice Malek Ahmad, President of the Court of Appeal Malaysia (deceased). The recipient of this scholarship will be required to undertake an internship working within the International Development Office and other departments and will also be required to undertake ambassadorial activity for the University throughout the duration of the course.
MBA Scholarship
We offer a number of scholarships to support our national and international MBA applicants. All scholarships are considered on the basis of your submitted online application. Places are limited so please apply early. For more information visit the Bristol Business School website.
Millennium Development Scholarship
One full tuition fee scholarship will be awarded for an outstanding student to study a one year Masters programme at UWE. Applicants will need to provide information in their application detailing how the scholarship will help them to attain the Millennium Development goals within their country.
The recipient of this scholarship will be required to undertake an internship working within the International Development Office and other departments, and will also be required to undertake ambassadorial activity for the University throughout the duration of the course.
Professor Arthur Li Development Scholarships
One full tuition fee scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding student to study a one year Masters programme. This scholarship commemorates the progressive thinking and contribution to education of Professor Arthur Li, who has been at the forefront of education reform in Hong Kong and holds an honorary degree from UWE. The scholarship is available to applicants from developing Commonwealth countries as indicated on the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission website.
The recipient of this scholarship will be required to undertake an internship working within the International Development Office and other departments and will also be required to undertake ambassadorial activity for the University throughout the duration of their course.
Deadline: Applications close on May 31, 2014; decisions will be made by June 30, 2014.
