The University of Queensland in Australia is inviting applications for the PhD Scholarship for CSIRO-UQ Responsible Innovation Collaboration in 2020.
The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) is an independent Australian federal government agency responsible for scientific research. Its chief role is to improve the economic and social performance of industry for the benefit of the community.
The CSIRO-UQ collaboration on Responsible Innovation was established to build and raise the profile, scale, and credibility of social science expertise in the ethical, social and legal consequences of new and disruptive science and technologies in the Australian innovation system.CSIRO logo
Worth of Award
The scholarship offers;
- A living stipend of $32,096 per annum.
- This includes a base scholarship of $27,596 (indexed annually) plus a $4,500 per annum top-up, for up to four years.
- You will also have a project budget of up to $16,000 over the course of your PhD candidature to complete the project attached to this scholarship.

- List the UQ enrolling unit as it appears in your preferred project
- Enter the first listed UQ researcher as your supervisor
- Submit a 1-2 page outline of a project you would undertake within the advertised area that draws on your area of interest and expertise.
- Lastly, you will be able to upload this in the ‘Evidence and Document Upload’ section of the Online Application.
