The University of Innsbruck in Austria is inviting applications for the four-month Fulbright Scholarship Opportunity in the Department of American Studies 2020.

In addition to being a prestigious academic exchange program, the Fulbright Program aims to expand and strengthen relationships between the people of the United States and citizens of other nations and to promote international understanding and cooperation. To support this mission, Fulbright Scholars will be asked to give public talks, mentor students, and otherwise engage with the host community, in addition to their primary activities‎.

Worth of Award

The award entails a monthly grant of € 4.000 and a lump sum of € 1.000 for travel costs.

Eligibility

  • This grant will entail teaching two courses for advanced undergraduate or graduate students in the field of American Studies.
  • It is open to faculty of all academic ranks with a Ph.D., including early career researchers, with appropriate teaching experience and relevant expertise.
  • They especially encourage scholars with a research interest in film and media studies to apply.

It is essential that all required application components for the 2020-21 U.S. Scholar Program be complete and submitted by the application deadline.
