Scholarships for Masters Degree in Computer Science at University of Padova in Italy 2020

The Department of Mathematics, University of Padova, Italy invites applications for one-year Masters scholarship in Computer Science in Italy 2020.

This is in the framework of the initiatives aiming at promoting its educational activity, the Department of Mathematics “Tullio Levi-Civita” of the University of Padova, invites applications to assign two one-year scholarships for especially gifted students who enrol for the Masters scholarship in Computer Science in 2020.

The fellowships are renewable for one extra year, upon winners application.

Worth of Award

  • Each Masters scholarship in Computer Science for the enrollment in the Master’s Degree in Computer Science – a.y. 2020/2021 has the annual value of € 3.686,00 gross amount
  • Before paying the first solution, the regular payment of the registration fee will be verified.

Eligibility

  • Possess a three-year undergraduate degree in the class “Scienze e tecnologie informatiche/Computer sciences and technologies {L-31)” or “Ingegneria dell’informazione/information Engineering (L-8)” (or an equivalent non-Italian three-year undergraduate degree) in any Italian or foreign University with a minimum final grade of 100/110 (or equivalent for foreign grading systems);
  • Engage to enrol in the a.y. 2020/2021 at the Master’s degree in computer science of the University of Padua;
  • Possess a European citizenship or residency or study visa in Italy;
  • Being younger than 25 years old at the date of the deadline of the present selection procedure;
  • Not being a winner of any other scholarships, except for regional scholarships for the right to study and for those awarded by Italian or foreign institutions with the aim to integrate either student education or research activity by means of periods abroad;
  • Absence of criminal convictions or penal proceedings in progress.
  • Students who have previously received sanctions following the presentation of false declarations aimed at obtaining benefits for the right to study are not allowed to apply.
  • Students who do not hold the required academic qualification at the time of the application may still apply in the case that they will obtain the Degree by October 31, 2020, at the latest, with a minimum grade of 100/110 (or equivalent grade for non-Italian degrees). These candidates will be admitted under the condition and they will have to send within November 30th, 2020 a self-certification of the obtained Bachelor’s Degree together with a copy of a valid identity document {ldentity Card or Passport). Sending the original certification is required for extra-UE Bachelor’s Degrees. The documentation must be sent either by e-mail to the address [email protected], or it can be delivered in person to the Secretariat of the Department of Mathematics “Tullio Levi-Civita”, via Trieste, 63 – Padova, ltaly.

How to Apply

The application form for Masters scholarship in Computer Science , in plain paper, must follow the template that accompanies the present
announcement (attached A). lt must be duly signed by the candidate and sent to the Department of Mathematics “Tullio Levi-Civita”, in unstamped paper according to attached to them, must be submitted no later than the deadline in one of the following forms:

  • by certified e-mail (PEC) at the address, [email protected] signed with a digital signature on all the documents;
  • by certified e-mail (PEC) at the address [email protected] sending a copy of the application with an autograph signature, together with a copy of the identity document of the subscriber. Copies of these documents must be scanned;
  • by e-mail at the address [email protected] sending a copy of the application with an autograph signature, together with a copy of the identity document of the subscriber.

Applications must include:

  • – a photocopy of a valid identity document (Identity Card or Passport);
    – a dated and signed detailed CV;
    – any document concerning previous university career, including marks obtained in individual exams with translation into English or Italian for foreign transcripts;
    – letter of presentation written and signed by the Bachelor’s Degree thesis supervisor or by any other Bachelor’s degree Professor contacted by the student. The professor has to send the letter of presentation by mail at the address [email protected] within the deadline;
    – motivation letter written in Italian and in English;
    – any other document, qualification or publication useful for the selection process.

Deadline: Applications for a Masters scholarship in Computer Science must be submitted no later than Monday, August 31st, 2020 at 12:00.
