The Technical University of Denmark(DTU) Compute’s Section for Image Analysis and Computer Graphics is inviting applications for its PhD position in Microstructure Imaging in Denmark for the 2019/2020 academic session.
DTU Compute is an internationally unique academic environment spanning the science disciplines mathematics, statistics and computer science. At the same time, we are an engineering department covering informatics and communication technologies (ICT) in their broadest sense. Finally, they play a major role in addressing the societal challenges of the digital society where ICT is a part of every industry, service, and human endeavor.
Project Description
The PhD position covers a cross-disciplinary project within the topic of multi-modal integration and machine learning for mining neurological microstructural features from quantitative and diffusion MRI as well as 3D histology data. The project focuses on exploring new regimes of biophysical models of brain white matter, optimization of multi-dimensional diffusion encoding and qMRI to disentangle specific microstructural features in a non-invasive manner in healthy and diseased subjects.
