University College London is inviting applications for the Fer-Garb Scholarship for overseas MA students to begin in the academic year 2020-21.
They welcome applications for the scholarship from overseas students who have been accepted for a study on the History of Art Masters Program at UCL, preferably with an interest in following a course of study that includes modern and contemporary art.
The Scholarship has been created through the generosity of a History of Art Alumnus, with the aim of enabling more of the most promising overseas students of limited financial means wishing to pursue the MA in History of Art at UCL. At the donor’s kind request, the Scholarship has been named in honour of his teachers Professor Briony Fer and Professor Tamar Garb.
Worth of Award
The Scholarship will enable outstanding students in financial need to fulfil their potential and will cover academic fees and living costs for one year of full-time study.
Eligibility
- In order to apply for the Scholarship, overseas students should already have been offered a place on the MA in History of Art at UCL according to the normal application procedure.
- The scholarship has been set up for three consecutive years and will fund one student a year for three years.
How to Apply
Students wishing to be considered for the awards should submit the following materials:
- A statement indicating their wish to be considered for the scholarship, which demonstrates how you fulfil the aims of the scholarship, and your reasons for wishing to pursue this particular programme of study in the History of Art department at UCL. (approximately 500 words)
- An up to date CV
- Your transcripts
- All applicants also have to declare any other sources of funding
