Maine Global Partner Undergraduate Scholarship for International Students in USA 2021

The University of Maine is inviting applications for its Maine Global Partner Scholarship for International Students graduating from high schools in the state of Maine with a high school CGPA of 3.0 and abovein the USA for the 2021/2022 academic session.

Worth of Award

This scholarship valued up to US$12,000 per academic year.


  • International students graduating from high schools in the state of Maine with a high school CGPA of 3.0 and above
  • This award is not open to international transfer students.
  • Graduate students are not eligible for this award. Sponsored students are not eligible for this award.
  • The award is not renewed automatically each year. Students must maintain full-time enrollment and a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 2.00 in order for the scholarship to be renewed.  Additionally, the award is for a maximum of 8 semesters (4 academic years) for a student entering as a first-year applicant. Recipients of the award must also remain on a non-immigrant student visa F-1 or J-1 to be eligible to hold the scholarship.

How to Apply

Applicants are considered for this scholarship when their application for admission is reviewed. No additional application is required.

To apply for admission:

  • Complete one of their applications – the Common Application, the UMaine Mobile Application or the ApplyMaine Application.
  • Submit one official transcript of all previous secondary/high school or university work (submission requirements by country). In addition, if the document is not in English, submit a certified English translation.
  • Submit an English language proficiency test. See their test waiver policy.
  • Submit a Declaration of Finances along with supporting documents via e-mail to [email protected]
  • If submitted with the application, this form expedites the issuing of the I-20 (immigration document).
  • Submit a copy of passport ID page and submit via e-mail to [email protected]
