The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Eton Avenue, University of London invites applications for the Richard Pilbrow Scholarship open to Home/EU/Overseas undergraduate students studying Theatre Lighting Design or Production Lighting for the 2018/2019 academic session.
Richard Pilbrow is an alumnus of Central and internationally renowned stage lighting designer, author, theatre design consultant, and theatrical producer, film producer and television producer. Pilbrow is a joint founder in the Association of British Theatre Technicians, Society of Theatre Consultants, The Society of British Theatre Designers, and the Association of Lighting Designers. Pilbrow served two terms on the United States Institute for Theatre Technology’s (USITT) Directors at Large and was also elected a Fellow of the Institute in 2001. He is a Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy for the Performing Arts and London’s Central School of Speech and Drama.
For undergraduate applicants holding an offer on either of the BA (Hons) Theatre Practice lighting courses: Theatre Lighting Design or Production Lighting.
