Australia National University invites applications for the ANU College of Engineering & Computer Science Female Excellence Scholarships for 2018/2019 academic session.
Each year the ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science (“the College”) may award up to two (2) scholarships, known as the College of Engineering and Computer Science Female Excellence Scholarship (“the Scholarship”).
The Scholarship is available for Female students (“the scholar/s”) who have completed a Year 12qualification in Australia and applying for admission to the University for the first time. The Scholarships are highly competitive and based on academic merit. The Scholarship will be offered in first semester only, as defined in the University Calendar.
Worth of Award

  • The Scholarship is valued at an amount of $5,000. The scholarship is payable in one instalment, to be paid following the Census Date of the semester for which it has been awarded.
  • The Scholarship does not cover student tuition fees, payment of reading and study materials, living expenses, accommodation or any other costs associated with studying. The scholar is responsible for making payment or deferring payment of all his/her HECS liability or tuition fees by the prescribed dates, as determined by the University
The Scholarship shall be available to a female applicant who:

  • Is an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident only.
  • Is entering university for the first time. Students transferring from other universities are not eligible.
  • Has applied for admission and will enrol into a single or Flexible Double Degree program offered by the College.
  • Has completed a Year 12 qualification in Australia.
  • Has applied for admission through UAC and has an approved ATAR or ENTER tertiary score. Direct applicants are not eligible.
  • Has achieved a minimum ATAR of 97 (excluding bonus points).

How to Apply

  • There will be a call for applications each year by the ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science. Applicants must complete all components of the application and provide supporting documents wherever necessary.
  • A Selection Committee will be appointed and will make a recommendation for this Scholarship based on academic merit, and the program of study which the applicants have applied for. Consideration may also be given to any other factors which the Selection Committee considers to be appropriate and in line with the College’s strategic direction and priorities.
