MTN Foundation invites applications from suitably qualified Nigerian students for the 2012 MTN scholarship for Nigerians. The scholarship is part of MTN Nigeria’s corporate social responsibility efforts aimed at enhancing access to quality education by Nigerian students studying in Nigeria.

Scholarship Conditions/Eligibility
• Applicants from public Universities and Colleges of Education in Nigeria must be full time undergraduates in 200 level/2nd year.
• Applicants from public Universities and Colleges of Education must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) score of 3.5 or its equivalent (2:1)
• Applicants from public Polytechnics must have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 (upper credit) from the Ordinary National Diploma (OND) programme and must have secured admission into the Higher National Diploma programme (HND).
• Direct entry level students must have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 (upper credit) from the OND programme and must have secured admission into 200 level/2nd year in a public University
• Current Beneficiaries of the MTN Foundation Science & Technology Scholarship award are not eligible to apply

• If you meet the criteria above, you can complete the MTN scholarship application form online
• It advisable to take a look at the online form through the link below and prepare your responses to the question in Microsoft Word or handwrite it before going online to complete it
• You are expected to answer a question as part of the application; the instruction states that “In not more than 200 words explain how the Telecommunications industry has impacted positively on National development and Globalisation (Mention at least 3 areas of impact)”. Carefully compose your answer and have someone review it before submitting it online to increase your chances of success
• Once you are ready, proceed through the link below to the website and scroll down to the bottom of the page to apply
• The MTN Foundation reserves the right to cancel or suspend a scholarship award if it is discovered that an applicant /awardee provided false information
• Names of successful candidates will be published in National Dailies
