Applications are invited from overseas students for a PhD studentship in Communication at the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland. Candidates should hold, or expect to hold by 15 August 2012, a first or upper second class honours degree in Communication or a cognate social science area. Successful candidates will enrol as of 1 October 2012, on a full-time programme of research studies leading to the award of the degree of Doctor of Philosophy.
The Research topic proposed must be in one of three main areas of Communication:
• Interpersonal Communication and Social Interaction
• Health Communication and Counselling
• Organisational Communication, Advertising or Public Relations
Worth of Awards
The studentship will comprise fees and an annual stipend of £13,590. It will be awarded for a period of up to three years subject to satisfactory progress and is tenable at the Jordanstown Campus.
