Cardiff University invites applications for PhD studentship in Vision Sciences . The studentship is awarded to all nationality applicants with backgrounds in experimental psychology, biology, engineering, vision science, optometry or related disciplines.
The overreaching aim of establishing the Cardiff University was to transform the public higher education to improve quality and efficiency of teaching and learning, creating a world-class higher learning institution.
Applicants whose first language is not English will be required to demonstrate proficiency in the English language (IELTS 6.5 or equivalent).

Worth of Award
This studentship consists of full UK/EU tuition fees at UK/EU rate, as well as a Doctoral Stipend matching UK Research Council National Minimum £14,296 p.a. for 2016/17.
- The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for scholarship:
- Applicants must hold, or expect to obtain in the near future, a BSc (2:1 or better) or Master’s degree or equivalent in Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Neuroscience, Optometry and Vision Sciences, Psychology, Computer Science and Informatics, or other relevant scientific discipline.
- This studentship is open to students of any nationality. Students classified as international for fee purposes have to self-fund the difference between home and international fees.
