The University of Trento, Italy offers PhD positions in Cognitive and Brain Sciences to candidates of all nationalities for for the 2016-2017 academic year.
An English language certificate proving a minimum level of CEFR B29, if the candidate is not English mother tongue or if the candidate did not attend a High School, bachelor’s or master’s level course entirely in English.

Eligibility
Applications for the Doctorate are accepted from candidates who hold:
-An Italian “Laurea magistrale” instituted in conformity with Italian Ministerial Decree 270/2004, or
-A university degree of the previous regulations (Italian “Laurea specialistica ” or “Diploma di Laurea”), or
-An equivalent degree obtained abroad (Master’s degree) and recognized as equivalent to the Italian “Laurea magistrale” by the Admissions Committee for the sole purposes of admission to the Doctoral programme, also within the framework of mobility and cooperation inter-university agreements.

Applicants must upload one or more compulsory attachments results in expulsion from the selection:
-Identity document (ID)
-A copy of the identity card (for EU citizens) or of the passport (pages with photo, personal data, place and time of issue of the document, expiration date of the document);
-Copy of the university degree
-Curriculum vitae in English, up-to-date and dated, that includes a list of scientific papers, if any, and preferably based on the Europass model
-Anonymous Research Statement (form is downloadable here) that consists in Part A) – Background and Motivation Letter; Part B) – Statement of Research Interest, and Part C) – Research Project Proposal.
-An English language certificate proving a minimum level of CEFR B29, if the candidate is not English mother tongue or if the candidate did not attend a High School, bachelor’s or master’s level course entirely in English. Advanced knowledge of the English language is a fundamental prerequisite in order to be admitted to the programme.
