The University of Sussex invites applications from Nigerian students for the 2016 scholarship for Nigerians to study in the UK. The scholarships are available to undertake full-time taught masters degree courses (e.g. MA, MSc, LLM. MRes) in September 2016.
 
For applicants holding/expecting to achieve a first class degree, equivalent to a British bachelors honours degree from a higher education institution in Nigeria. In terms of IELTS, the standard requirement is IELTS 6.5 overall, with at least 6.0 in each section.
Scholarship Award: Scholarship has a value of up to £5,000.
Course Level
The scholarships are available to undertake full-time taught Masters degree courses at the University of Sussex (e.g. MA, MSc, LLM. MRes) excluding the following courses: Postgraduate diplomas, Graduate Entry LLB, Common Professional Examination (CPE)/Graduate Diploma in Law, Graduate Diploma in Economics, Masters degrees in Social Work, Social Work post qualifying Masters degrees, PGCE courses and schools direct teaching courses, MSc Automotive Engineering, Master of Education (two years part-time), MA degrees in IDS apart from the MA Gender and Development and Pre-Masters degrees and diplomas taught.

Eligibility
In order to be eligible for a scholarship applicants must
-be a national of Nigeria,
be a self-financing student and have accepted an offer of a full-time place on a Masters course at the University of Sussex commencing in September 2016.
– must meet the published academic requirements for chosen course. If offer of a place is conditional they will need to meet the conditions of their offer before they are admitted to the University and awarded the scholarship. To receive the enhanced award, applicants will be required to provide evidence of their First Class degree from a recognised institution in Nigeria.
Nationality: Students of Nigeria can apply for the scholarship.

-Transcripts (final transcript if it is available or transcript of their grades so far)

-Resume/CV (recommended)

Deadline: The deadline to receive an offer of a place on an eligible Masters course and submit the online declaration is 1 August 2016.
