The Masters Review Printed Anthology Award opens for Submissions. This year stories will be selected by author Kevin Brockmeier who is looking for the kind of stories that result when a writer combines imaginative daring with dynamic, exact, emotionally suggestive prose. Unlike previous years, this category is open to ALL EMERGING WRITERS. Anyone who has not yet published a novel-length work.

  • Publication in a nationally distributed journal
  • Exposure to over 50 literary agencies

  • All writers are part of an exclusive mailing.


  • Previously unpublished works of fiction and narrative nonfiction only
  • They accept simultaneous submissions as long as work is withdrawn if it is accepted elsewhere
  • Writers must not have published a novel-length work at the time of submission
  • Submissions are not limited to writers in the US

  • Up to 7000 words
  • Multiple submissions are allowed
  • Standard formatting please (double-spaced, 12 pt font, pages numbered preferred)
  • $20 reading fee

Deadline: for entry is March 31, 2015. Shortlist will announce April 15, 2015
Winners announced no later than May 15, 2015 :: Book is published in the fall
