The Arab-British Chamber offers up to five scholarships each academic year beginning October to citizens of member states of the Arab League to pursue one – year taught postgraduate courses of study in subjects relevant to their country’s needs at the University of Cambridge.

Value: Variable but it usually covers the overseas rate, approved College fees, a maintenance allowance for a single student and a contribution towards return air fare.

Eligibility
This scholarship is available to citizens of Algeria, Bahrain, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates and Yemen.
How to Apply
- Initial application must be made to the University of Cambridge via the normal Graduate Admission and Scholarship Application Form. See prospectus for details
- Make it clear in your personal statement in Section B of the GRADSAF that you want to be considered for this scholarship and explain how you believe you meet any specific criteria of the scholarship
- In the section on ‘Personal funds’ that you have available, you should include significant income from all sources, including salaries, business profit, rents, dividends etc.
- Scholarships are normally awarded to candidates selected first on financial need, and second on academic strength and potential
